Artist Bio:

I discovered the fascinating world of pottery during my pre-retirement years, and my passion (and addiction) was immediate! This newly discovered creative medium brought a welcome source of healthy balance to a work life that required significant management and leadership responsibilities. The freedom of working with clay in imaginative ways became a breath of fresh air for me.

 

I enjoy creating unique, functional and affordable pottery, but I LOVE discovering new and beautiful glaze combinations and finish techniques that excite my clients. To achieve these beautiful, fun and unusual effects, I brush-on each glaze by hand. Each piece can have 2-8 different glazes applied in multiple layers before it goes into the kiln for its final firing...which is where the magic happens.

 

An added bonus is that my pottery is dishwasher and microwave safe.
