Kirsten Lynch

In 2015, armed with a sewing machine and a box full of t-shirts from my daughters’ school years, I set out to make a memory quilt…. and fell down the rabbit hole of fiber art.  From piecing quilt tops to buying a long arm and learning free-motion quilting to needlepoint and cross-stitching to knitting and crocheting - if it involves fiber/textiles/thread/fabric, I’ve probably tried it!

I continue to evolve as an artist as my interest is captured by different techniques and I look forward to where my curiosity will take me next.

I grew up in Charlottesville and consider it my hometown, even though I just returned in 2021.  It’s nice to be home again!  I am currently a member of the Charlottesville-Albemarle Quilting Guild, the Albemarle Modern Quilt Guild, and the Fiber and Stitch Arts Collective.

I am available for custom work using your color palette, please contact me at kirsten@shendandoahthreadworks.com.
