C’ville Arts Features – “Glass Art Gifts” – During December

Our talented and popular stained-glass artist, Norma Geddes will be the featured artist during December. Known for her bright colors, cheerful spirit, and innovative designs, she delivers fresh and uplifting pieces made with high quality materials. Here’s how Norma describes her creative journey:

After a long and happy career in healthcare I found glass art quite by chance. I was renovating my kitchen and needed to pick out some stained glass for cabinet doors. A very small sign was posted that said “Stained Glass classes starting…” I thought to myself “Never done that before…” and I signed up on the spot. My life as a glass artist began that day, ten years ago, and thrills me even now.

Glass art involves technical skills that you learn, material supplies that you buy, and imagination that comes from the soul. My studio is my sacred place for solitude, gratitude, and application of all I have learned.

I am inspired by the resilience of my fellow travelers during this most difficult time. I hope that my art makes even one person feel calmer and brings a bit of peace.
