C’ville Arts Features – “Pattern of Whimsy” - During June
Charlottesville, VA, May 26, 2020
To get things started off right we will be featuring a show of Mixed-Media Jewelry by Stephen Dalton of Half-Baked Ideas.
Stephen Dalton has been making mixed-media, paper and epoxy jewelry for more than 25 years. Whimsical animals and nature themes have always been important subjects in his work. His pin-pendants, necklaces, and earrings also include an array of abstract and sculptural pieces.
Stephen feels most inspired by nature in spring and summer, when pattern, color, and the possibilities for designs are so abundant. This year, Stephen continues the evolution of his work, focusing on more detailed construction, and bringing pieces and parts together in an unexpected and pleasing way. His pieces are extremely lightweight and durable. His work aims to bring joy and smiles to his customers---this summer, and for summers to come.
To learn more about his work, find him on Facebook at “Stephen Dalton Jewelry”. He is a full-time member of C’ville Arts, and also sells his work on Etsy.com under “halfbakedideas”.
